Please have your child in costume at the fairgrounds no later than 1:30. Show starts at 2:30. 

Please check in with Ms. Amy about your child's costume. If for some reason your plans have changed, please let me know ASAP!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

        

We have had over 50 days of school and are 50 days smarter!! Lots of assessments this week! :)

We LOVE Cat in the Hat!

BUSY week!!!

This week is going to be BUSY, FESTIVE and FUN!!!

Monday we have Christopher Shaw coming to visit and read us his book about Bloomington called The Fish on the Dome.

Thursday: WEAR RED,BLACK, or Cat in the Hat attire for our trip to the John Waldron Arts Center.

Friday: WEAR ORANGE or Fall Colors for our field trip to Apple Works. I still need volunteers to go along. We have limited room on the bus for chaperones (first come first serve), but you may drive separately. Cost $10.00 

Next Monday is the 50th day of school! We would like everyone to dress in 50's attire. We have a super fun day planned with root beer floats, a sock hop, and more!

Enjoy our talented kindergartners and the Americana songs they have learned in less than a month! 

Thank you to our very special community visitor, Capt. Sara Hamidovic (Adis' mom). She showed us and even let us try a  MRE (meal ready to eat). She also gave each of us glowvsticks and told us how the military uses them to mark things for safety. SO cool! Thank you for your time, Sara!

Community Helpers and Growing Patriotic Citizens

I love teaching this group! Looking forward to a SPECIAL community visitor this week: Adis' mom! I know Adis is so proud of her~ and we are all thankful for her service to our country! What a perfect week for a visit!

Looking forward to a fun week learning about Community Helpers! Catered Lunches begin this week! Please keep an eye on your child's milk card (located in gray basket on sign in table) to see if they need a new one.

Movin' Right Along!

Last week we started to get into the groove with our schedule! We are starting to BUILD STAMINA with reading and will start Daily Five this week! (look for a note from your child's literacy teacher later this week)
We also walked the B-Line trail in practice for our field trip to MCPL on Wednesday. We got to see some very cool art (mosaics, sculpture, paintings, etc.) and had a picnic lunch at the park!
We also celebrated ZACHARY'S birthday!
